Poseidon Academy

At the end of every eighth grade year, students apply to be part of the award-winning Poseidon Academy of Marine Science & Engineering. Poseidon is a “school within a school” where students are required to take science and/or engineering classes every year, including 3 years of science and 3 years of engineering.  These classes are designed to teach students to solve problems in the world’s oceans, and prepare them for jobs in all career paths.

Every year, students who are enrolled in this enriching program take trips to places like Catalina Island, Disneyland, Sea World, and more.  Here they learn about Marine Science by snorkeling, kayaking, doing experiments, and other activities. These students form a family-like bond, having classes with the same peers every year while participating in fun interactive science courses, work-site visits, and more!

Application Questionnaire: You must complete the application in order to be considered for admission into the Poseidon Academy. You will NOT be admitted to the Academy if you have not completed the application.
